Daily Rituals to 6 Figures

Have you noticed how often people around you use the word ‘busy’? ‘Busy’ seems to be the new trend, however, as a woman the busy-ness of our everyday lives can be covering up some underlying concerns. Are you busy being busy?

After spending my 20s in the rat race of life where we women tend to live in competition for better looks, better paying jobs and even men, I found myself in a dark place where I had everything in my busy life – the job, the money, the house, the relationship; but I went to bed with an unexplainable sense of un- fulfilment every night for two years.

I was burnt-out, depressed and found myself with severe types of illnesses which the doctors did not have any answers to. I took myself in to a spiritual quest where I stumbled across the topic of feminine energy and that opened up an entire new world of treasures for me.

As women our intrinsic nature lies in the feminine energy. However, in this busy lifestyle we have tend to have lost it. It’s not our fault because I know each and every woman is really doing her best to cope up with the busy-ness of her everyday life. Perhaps, we have not been taught how to slow-down and experience the juiciness of our feminine energy to feel fulfilled on a daily basis.

By being ‘busy’ we are missing the point that we are human ‘beings’, not just human ‘doings’. Feminine energy invites us to focus on our ‘being’.

In my spiritual quest. I learnt that there are four levels of being-ness that allows us to create a life of fulfilment and wholesomeness.

I came across this quote the other day – ‘Busy is the new happy’ and it didn’t feel right to me. So I began to research on how being busy is impacting our four levels of being-ness which in turn causes hindrance among women to experience her feminine energy.

Here’s how:

Physical – When we are constantly on the run, we step in to adrenaline mode.
We are hyped and super-excited and when the energy runs out, we feel the hangover. For the body to constantly be in the adrenaline mode requires the hormone ‘testosterone’ which as we all know is many times more in men than women. This is the reason man can be busy, on the go and continue being that way for much longer time as compared to a woman. When a woman is constantly utilising her small pool of testosterone she begins to feel tired, burnt out, fatigue, stress and all sorts of illnesses.

Mental – As I mentioned before, there could be some hard underlying truth behind why our mind wants to be kept ‘busy’. Our mind is made of conscious and unconscious minds and our day to day behaviour is usually ruled by the unconscious behaviour not our conscious mind. For many of us, being ‘busy’ is like vanity and are bound to the ‘super-woman’ syndrome. Being ‘busy’ can be a misguided ‘ego-trip’ giving people a sense of validation that they are needed and significant. The underlying truth can be that this could be an indication of lack of confidence and self- worth.

Emotional – I am a believer in Law of Attraction. Whether you believe it or not, it is the universal law and it is based on ‘our feelings’. Life does not just happen to us; it is responding to our feelings. When we are ‘busy’ jumping from one task to another throughout the day, our feelings get ignored, esp. our dark and ugly feelings and can act as blocks towards manifesting our desires.

Spiritual – A continuous busy lifestyle depletes our life-force energy. This life-force energy is what constantly supports our physical body to function well. Ancient traditions call it ‘Qi’ or ‘Chi’. It is the essence of life. Constantly being in the ‘go-go’ mode creates a ‘yo-yo’ effect to our life-force energy. This life-force energy once depleted takes a long time to recover. This is the stage when you go in to feelings of un-fulfilment, depression or prolonged illness. A feminine woman makes her daily decisions based on her intuition and we need that – ‘quiet moment’ every single day to build a good relationship with our intuition. Busy life of course does not help!

Awareness is the first step to making any changes. Now that you are aware of the four levels of ‘being’-ness and how it may be impacting your life, you can take small steps to get out of your busy cycle.

So to begin with, here’s my challenge to you – in the next week, commit to not using the word ‘busy’ in any of your responses to other people. You will begin to notice that the depth of your conversation will increase and you will become conscious about your states of being-ness.

Learning to tap in to our feminine energy amongst our busy lifestyle is the way to create an extraordinary life for yourself and the people around you.
