One of the things I love about being a beauty writer is that not only do I get to write about something I feel so passionate about, helping people get their best skin but also trying out amazing skincare products. This month, I trialled Clemence Organics.
Clemente Organics was created by founder Bridget Carmady and inspired by her time in France. Of France, Bridget writes:
‘where life was simple but in the same breath, utterly divine’
She goes on to say that ‘my experiences inspired me to create a simple yet luxurious range of organic skincare products that come with a little something special – an offer to empower YOU to make smart skincare choices.’
Luxurious is absolutely spot on, these products are rich, fragrant and a pleasure to put on your skin. I’m always looking for anything that’s going to make a difference to my ageing sun damaged skin and so I was prescribed by Bridget a beauty routine formulated for my skin to target the issues I feel most important influenced by the beauty routines of the ever so glamorous French women.
My routine starts with the Refining Cleanser (RRP $44.95). Its rich cream formula makes me feel as if I’m enriching my skin as well as cleansing it, it didn’t feel as though it was stripping my skin of those beneficial oils and leaving my skin dry and irritable – instead it felt hydrated and soft. This is the ultimate cleanser for restoring your skin to its best. Pure organic oils of geranium, patchouli and rose provide balancing, toning and anti-ageing benefits, whilst bearberry extract lightens and brightens the complexion. It claims to not only remove impurities, but soothe, nourish, and leave your skin feeling completely refined and restored – a claim which I feel it lives up to.
A quick spritz of the Tone and Hydrate Spritz (RRP $34.95) comes next, which is a wonderful refreshing wake up of the senses as well as a nice hit to the skin. I make sure to pat my skin dry before applying anything else as trapping water on the skin can be drying. Formulated with organic rose water this is the secret of many French women through the ages.
The Repair Face Serum (RRP $59.95) is next in the regime and it is a rich oil that just feels amazing on my skin. True to its claims to promote skin repair, it is ideal for skin that may be showing signs of ageing, sun damage, scarring and pigmentation. It is full of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Containing all of the things an ageing skin might need, it absorbs fast so no sticky, oily after affects and it left my skin feeling nourished and glowing.
4. Face Cream
Lastly, I finish my routine off with the Ultimate Face Cream (RRP $59.95), a luscious organic face cream rich in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Packed with Antioxidants + Vitamins A, C, E + Essential Fatty Acids I can feel the goodness going on and the fragrance is gorgeous, full of so many beautiful ingredients (including beeswax) which, to me, gives it a beautiful smell of honey. An important ingredient for ageing skin is included, hyaluronic acid which promotes optimum skin hydration, plumping and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Now this is really the ultimate luxury in creams and my skin feels like it’s been bathed in a bath of super hydrating ingredients leaving it feeling pampered and restored.
